Outdoor Workshops at The Field

We have recently launched a new and innovative way to allow our young people to gain a recognised qualification (Youth Achievement Awards). Every week, we will have youngsters down in our field, developing and planning specific areas and building the future of our project.

Youngsters will be given the task of building outdoor furniture, assembling bird boxes and involved in many more great outdoor opportunities whilst working towards something they will have on their SQA certificate for life. We see this as a great way for our local young people to be outdoors with summer on the horizon and keeping busy whilst we slowly ease out of lockdown.

We have seen a huge interest in this initiative so far and have already begun designating and planning areas for development alongside our youths.

Of course with everything we do, we are following all Scottish Government Guidelines to ensure the safety of our staff and young people.
